iSushi — customer service fail

I would really love to comment on the food at iSushi, but, unfortunately, I can’t. You see, I never got served.

My teenage sons and I arrived at the restaurant tonight at 20:45 for a late dinner and were seated after a slight delay … which should have been a red flag, since there were no other customers present. A server came over, gave us menus, and took our drinks orders: two waters and a soda. She then left us to peruse the menus. She seemed very friendly, so any concerns I might have had were laid to rest.

We took our time over the menus … but then, we were given plenty of time. The server never returned. After a while, I checked the time: it was now 21:00. (Reminder: we still didn’t have our drinks.) I tried, unsuccessfully, to get the attention of another server and even of the barman … but after another 10 minutes of waiting, we gave up, got up, and left.

Their loss. While we ordered only water to drink, we planned to order nearly $60 worth of food. Not bad for a three-top that they could have turned in 45 minutes, if they’d only come back with our drinks and taken our order.
